About
Jon Cyr is a musician from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, whose passion for music has always been rooted in connection, storytelling, and bringing people together. Whether performing solo or with a full band, Jon blends strong vocals, guitar-driven energy, and a wide range of musical influences into every show.
Growing up, artists like Alan Jackson, Keith Whitley, George Jones, Travis Tritt, Merle Haggard, Clint Black, and Garth Brooks helped shape Jon’s early love for country music and honest songwriting. As the years went on, his taste expanded into classic rock, folk, bluegrass, East Coast music, and even hip-hop, creating the versatile style he’s known for today. More recently, artists like Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Zach Bryan, Larry Fleet, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Top continue to inspire his sound.
Jon’s performances are all about reading the room and creating an experience people remember. From country favourites and classic singalongs to unexpected crowd-pleasers, he enjoys adapting his shows to connect with every audience. Over the years, music has taken Jon and his wife Tina to incredible places, including Nashville, where he performed at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and proposed to Tina during a memorable night at the legendary Ryman Auditorium.
Outside of music, Jon is a proud husband and father who values family, community, and giving back whenever possible. He’s especially grateful to now share music with his sons Donavan and Jaden, along with his nephew Cooper, who have all developed a passion for guitar and songwriting themselves.
Jon is incredibly thankful for the support of his family, friends, and everyone who has encouraged his musical journey along the way — especially his wife Tina, his parents, and the late Ed Levick, whose belief in Jon’s music helped open many doors over the years.
For Jon, music has never just been about performing — it’s about creating moments, bringing people together, and leaving every room a little better than he found it.
